Dolphin Discovery at Isla Mujeres is conveniently located in the heart of the island. To reach this quaint spot you must cross the bay from Cancun in a scenic 40 minute boat ride from Playa Langosta, our meeting place.

Our flexible ferry schedule allows you to enjoy the island, a place full of history, spectacular beaches and bargain shopping. It gained fame in the 70's when the "caves of the sleeping sharks" were brought to the world's attention by the French scientist Jacques Cousteau.

There are two different types of body in the bottlenose dolphin species. Coastal ones have an average of 2.5-2.7 m in length, with a weight of 190-260 kg. The Pelagic ones (off-shore) are an average of 3.6-3.8 m and weigh 400-454 kg.
